Made In Asia and Gala Nocturna!

Finally got some time to update my journals!!! A lot has been going on!!!

So let's begin with Made in Asia who took place begin March! It was a wonderful event and I had an amazing time taking pictures and chatting with friends. :boogie: :boogie: :boogie: I only went on Saturday as It was been a very busy time for me.

The amazing Laure-Lyne Binard [link] got selected as first finalist for the Euro Cosplay championships who shall take place on October 2013 in London-UK. :D


Laure-Lyne as "Ahri" The nine tailed fox from League of Legends.




The second prize (Dauphine) went to the lovely Stephanie Demeure. :heart:


Stephanie as "Giselle" The cute princess from Enchanted.



I wore my Apple Jack from My Little Pony again as I was there to take pictures and watch the show, It's a very comfy costume. :D We did had our a small My Little Pony group in which we had loads of fun making pictures and chatting!

Last week my lovely friend, :iconeileenskopnik: came down to visit in Belgium!!! :heart: :heart: :heart:  We passed an amazing week! Meanwhile we had to chance to pay a visit to Gala Nocturna past Saturday on which we had an awesome time!!! I shall give a full report of the Gala on the Journal of :iconthores-cos: this weekend! :D :D :D

I'm already looking forward to Eileen's next visit to Belgium, we really had a hard time saying goodbye and I was so happy to finally meet her outside the usual busy Convention time. We really had a great time! :hug: :hug: :hug:

Born and raised in Ghent (Belgium), I'm one of Belgiums
very first cosplayers. I begun to cosplay in July
2005 with Rip Van Winkle (Hellsing) costume
who got published in Anicoz, the American Cosplaymagazine.
Later I appeared as Queen Nehelenia (Sailor Moon), Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon), Neo-Queen Serenity (Sailor
Moon) and I end up cosplaying Ciel Phanthomhive
(Kuroshitsuji).

October 2009, I won the first price at the Facts
competition with my Sister Esther Blanchett costume and was been selected to represent Belgium at the Euro Cosplay 2010 in London.

I won the second prize individuals at the Facts Convention 2012 with my Esther Blanchett "Star of Hope" costume.
And the first prize at the Japanimationday 2012 with my Queen Esther Blanchett "Black Pearled" costume.

I've organized and judged various cosplay competitions like the Hasshin! and the Antwerp Con CosplayCompo. In 2011 I also organized the cosplay competition to select a second Belgian Qualifier for the Euro Cosplay.

Meanwhile I try to promote cosplay as much as possible in every way. Was been interviewed about cosplay for De Standaard, Flair and Belgian national TV-Channel VTM. Next to cosplay, I also practice photography and often function as photographer on cosplayevents and photoshoots.

This account is my cosplayaccount but I also have a photography account :iconphoto-starla: where I put on most of non-cosplay works (yes I'm a big fan of black and white photography)
